This course is designed to provide participants with the latest information on critical incident stress management techniques and post-trauma syndromes, the Advanced Group Crisis Intervention course builds on the knowledge gained from the Group Crisis Intervention course and related publications. By the end of this course, participants will have learned specific, proven strategies to assist those affected by trauma. The course emphasizes advanced defusing and debriefing techniques for complex situations. It is intended for EAP, human resources, and public safety personnel, mental health professionals, chaplains, EMS providers, firefighters, physicians, police officers, nurses, dispatchers, airline personnel, and disaster workers already trained in the critical incident stress debriefing format. It is also valuable for those extensively working with traumatized individuals from various backgrounds. This course requires prior training and experience.
